Luís Gil, especialista em cortiça e um dos nossos autores convidados, participou num programa da RTP2 sobre a situação actual e as tendências daquele material natural sustentável, produto icónico português a par do vinho (que a cortiça tão bem protege).

Luís Gil, a specialist on cork and one of our invited authors, has just appeared on RTP2 – Portuguese TV. The show is in Portuguese (sorry, no subtitles). Cork is a sustainable natural material, its growing uses very diverse – sealing wine bottles, protecting the precious nectar, as floor coverings, space and aeronautics and, increasingly in fashion accessories. Portugal is the largest world producer, accounting for 1/2 of total production and exporting 2/3 of that.
