A friend that knows I like diamonds (and other minerals and rocks) sent me a picture of a Brazilian parcel (alas, they always gift me pictures, never the stones themselves). It is a really nice looking parcel of coloured diamonds (mind you, not so long ago many of these stones would be dismissed as industrials).
I have studied diamond populations and used them as a tool in diamond exploration. I was told by another knowledgeable friend that this parcel is likely from the Chapada Diamantina (Bahia, Brazil). Would you agree?
By the way, don’t mind what I said above: if you have interesting photos of diamond (and other minerals and rocks), will be more that happy to receive and post them at this blog’s diamond photo galleries.
